Malibu Cross Creek - PCH is open, it's time to ride up the coast and see it with our own eyes. We will stop mid-ride at the coffee shop at Cross Creek - either Malibu Market or the Blue Bottle cafe, depending on the wait. Note: This could be a very sobering ride, as most of us have not yet seen first hand the destruction from the Palisades fires. Critically, this ride demands that you be able to ride in a group pace line, 18 mph in the lane; if you can't do that, please sit this ride out. The shoulders on PCH are coned off, possibly the entire length in both directions. 55.3 mi, 970 ft, Malibu Cross Creek - Ride Leader : Mario
Pace : L2 Ride start is 9am, at the plaza just south of Captain Kidd's The Tuesday ride varies by design. If you want novelty, this is your ride. Routes vary between ~35-55 miles, 1000-3000 feet of climbing, typically in the middle third of the distance range (41-49 miles). If we go to an eating place, expect a "digestion pace" on the return. Often there is a destination (a vista point, climb, point of interest, etc). We often go to places that would be crowded on a weekend (eg, Hollywood Sign). We are usually done by 1-2pm, and a coffee or meal stop is customary (usually at the end; sometimes that's the destination).
