38.2 mi, 1630 ft, Baldwin Lookout, Ken Hahn, Braddock return - Ride Leader : Mario Obejas
We will go up the Baldwin Hills overlook climb in two steps, and enjoy the view. We then descend to the La Cienega pedestrian bridge to enter Ken Hahn park and ride through the various water elements before reaching our DTLA view from the MLK monument. We will avoid the park exit at Stocker; instead we exit back through the pedestrian bridge. We then descend and and jog west over to Culver City for a return along Braddock and through Playa Vista. We haven't been to these two vista points since July, 2025. Join us!
Pace : 17-19 (slower L2, faster L3) Ride start is 9am, at the plaza just south of Captain Kidd's The Tuesday ride varies by design. If you want novelty, this is your ride. Routes vary between ~35-55 miles, 1000-3000 feet of climbing, typically in the middle third of the distance range (41-49 miles). If we go to an eating place, expect a "digestion pace" on the return. We often go to places that would otherwise be too crowded on a weekend (eg, Hollywood Sign, Ken Hahn, Porto's, etc). We are usually done by 1-2pm, and a coffee or meal stop is customary (usually at the end; sometimes that's the destination).
